Our Postgraduate Research group

About the Postgraduate Research group
The Florey Institute Postgraduate Research (PGR) group is open to all postgraduate students and early career researchers working under the broad theme of infection. We aim to bring together researchers working across the university’s different faculties and promote a collaborative student community.
The group is currently organised by a committee of five clinical PhD students spread across the Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Biosciences.
Our activities
The PhD Lunchtime Seminar Series is held on a Tuesday and is bi-monthly. Each session runs for one hour during lunchtime and features two 15-20 minute talks, followed by Q&A and food.
The seminars are designed to:
- Provide new researchers an opportunity to present their work and build confidence
- Inspire members and strengthen our active research community
- Showcase cutting-edge research led by our Principal Investigators
- Foster collaboration by connecting students researching similar areas
- Be a fun environment.
*Please note that MyMuse access is required to sign-up to a seminar
