Designed for adults of all ages and backgrounds, our summer schools offer a unique blend of education, interaction, and cultural immersion, right in the heart of 九色视频. Our Courses
Business Chinese
Dive into the dynamic world of Chinese business with our Business Chinese course. Tailored for professionals and enthusiasts alike, this course offers a deep dive into the Chinese language within a business context, enhancing your communication skills and business etiquette. The course will include a guest talk from a local Chinese business leader, creating a gateway to understanding in the global Chinese business landscape.
Duration: 6 weeks, 2 hours per evening, once a week on Tuesdays (Beginning Tuesday 10 June).

Suggested Level: Beginner 1,2 or HSK 1,2 equivalent.

Calligraphy
Explore the art of Chinese calligraphy with our hands-on Calligraphy course. Guided by an experienced instructor, you'll develop your brush skills, learn about the evolution of Chinese characters, and create your own beautiful imagery. This course is a perfect blend of history, art, and personal expression, offering a peaceful yet profound way to connect with Chinese culture.
Duration: 6 weeks, 2 hours per evening, once a week on Tuesdays (Beginning Tuesday 10 June).

Tourism Chinese
Our Tourism Chinese course is perfect for travelers, language lovers, and anyone in between. This course covers essential vocabulary for food, travel, and social interaction, allowing you to navigate authentic situations with confidence.
Duration: 6 weeks, 2 hours per evening on Wednesdays (Beginning Wednesday 11 June).

Chinese and Films
“Learn Chinese Through Movies” is a topic-based course that selects high-quality Chinese films according to different themes. By watching and analyzing these films, students are encouraged to reflect on related social and cultural topics, while effectively improving their Chinese listening, speaking, and writing skills.
The course content is based on authentic language used in films. Each week, students will learn a set amount of vocabulary, sentence patterns, and dialogues. These will be practiced through interactive activities and selected movie clips. Relevant learning materials will also be provided. In addition, the course introduces students to Chinese film culture and offers guidance for those who wish to continue studying Chinese more deeply.
This course is designed for learners of all levels who are interested in the Chinese language and Chinese cinema.
Duration: 6 weeks, 2 hours per evening, once a week on Thursdays (Beginning Thursday 12 June).

Written Chinese
This course serves as a useful reference for learners who can speak Mandarin but possess an imperfect understanding of written characters, or as a guidepost for students with a limited knowledge of characters. It offers a solution to the perceived difficulty of learning written Chinese.
Furthermore, this course aims to make the language and culture feel more accessible, thereby fostering interest, pleasure, and lifelong rewards. It opens a gateway for individuals who wish to engage with modern Chinese newspapers and literature.
A comparison of Chinese grammar and syntax with other languages may also lead to insights into the fundamental aspects of human communication. The focus of the course will be on the functional use of the language, the underlying mindset of Chinese culture, and practical strategies for enhancing language acquisition.
By the end of the course, participants will have been exposed to approximately 100 Chinese characters, ranging from basic numerals to idiomatic phrases related to domestic life and some business names/signs.
