Qiang focuses on the portrayals of Islamic State and hidden power-knowledge relations. Her current research spans disciplines including political communication, media studies and linguistics. Prior to her PhD study in ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, she did her MA in Linguistics at Shandong University, China. Thanks to her diverse disciplinary background, she specializes in various fields, such as Discourse Analysis, Corpus Linguistics and Cognitive Metonymy.
