I have written for Diabolique magazine and Metro newspaper. I curated the digital art gallery [open source] Is the Internet You Know Under Threat? as part of the Life Online project at the National Media Museum. Before arriving at ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ University in September 2022, I taught on Media degree programmes at Leeds Trinity University and Swansea University (where I won the 2019 College of Arts and Humanities Teacher of the Year award).

My PhD 'Bloody Disgusting! Abjection, Excess and Absurdity' explored the carnivalesque cohesion between horror and comedy in film and television. The doctorate also incorporated an original feature-length horror comedy film script. I am interested in further exploring the shared cross-genre traits of each of these themes, whilst seeking production for my script. Having been invited to speak on the subject at The Miskatonic Institute of Horror Studies in London, I am also interested in furthering my research into representations of drag and transvestism in horror film and television.
